Justin moved to New York City in 2013 and met Alyssa a few months later while they were both working at Apple. After some back and forth of "who invited who" (a topic still debated to this day) they both went out for after work drinks with friends. After hitting it off that night, Justin asked Alyssa on their first date. They spent an amazing day walking on The Highline, getting burgers and milkshakes, and venturing through Brooklyn, Queens and Manhattan. And from there, the rest is history.

A few months after they started dating, Justin wanted to take Alyssa back to his home state of Texas. It was an amazing multi city tour from his hometown of Missouri City, to Houston, San Antonio and Austin. He got to show Alyssa so many amazing places such as his hometown favorite watering holes, the markets of San Antonio and some beautiful natural sites in Austin like Mount Bonnell and Hamilton Pool Preserve. Alyssa made many amazing new memories with Justin's family and got to see so many great places in Texas.

After moving to Houston for new opportunities, Justin and Alyssa enjoyed being near the whole Flores family! One day Justin suggested they do some things they did during Alyssa's first visit to Texas many years back. They took (what Alyssa believed to be) a spontaneous trip to Austin for the day, and went back to Mount Bonnell for another view. Once there, Justin waited until they were all alone, just the two of them and an amazing view. From there he pretended like he was about to take a photo of Alyssa, and to her surprise, pulled out a ring instead! After some tears, laughter and an embrace, they were finally engaged.
