Brock and Elizabeth met in a Facebook group where non-married Christians can come together and talk about anything from life to the faith they share. It all started for these crazy kids on a February day while Brock was having an Internet debate with a stranger, which Elizabeth found quite amusing. She jumped in the subthread and Brock jumped in those DMs (Direct Messages) and conversation quickly devolved into the age-old “Wawa vs Sheetz” debate and a friendship was born. Not long after this opening salvo of platonic conversation, Brock decided Elizabeth was worth pursuing. It seemed as if all hope would be lost... Brock would never escape the friend zone 😭. A few weeks and a few more memes later, he wore her down with his wit and charm. Then in late March, Brock drove from Indiana, PA to Clayton, NJ on a days’ notice and they went on their first date. These lovebirds have been in constant communication from that day on. Their relationship progressed quickly to the outside world because they spent so much time getting to know each other on late night video calls and then more video calls when they woke up. A few months would pass and to the surprise of just about any and everybody everywhere, Brock took Elizabeth to Wildwood, NJ on June 22, 2017 and proposed to her that night on the quiet beach❤️ In late August, Elizabeth moved to Indiana, Pennsylvania (the Christmas Tree Capital of the World), thus slaying the beast commonly referred to as LDR or in teh n00b’s English, the “Long Distance Relationship”. At press time, their love continues to grow everyday.
