IT’S HAPPENING!

Neither Faith nor Patrick were looking for each other when they met. Patrick was living in New York City and just beginning to know and understand the Love of God, but not yet committing to life with Christ. Faith was working 12 hour days that ended with four hour rehearsals for her church’s original Christmas musical in Los Angeles. Then, the director of that musical called Patrick and asked if he would play a part in the show! After a week or so of reluctance, he agreed and left for Los Angeles. Patrick was being housed in West Hollywood, out of the way for most, and had no car. There was one person, though, that lived in Beverly Hills working as a live-in nanny. That person was Miss Faith Ellen Patches. When Patrick asked her for a ride home, she reluctantly said, “Um. Okay.” On that very first ride home, they sat in Faith’s soccer mom van, Debussy in the background, talking deeply about God and their experiences in knowing and understanding His love. They were mind blown. God’s presence was so tangibly alive. God brought Patrick the only woman that ever understood his heart. Her name was Faith Patches. “Patches.” A nickname that Patrick’s father and grandfather gave him as a child. His HEAVENLY Father was calling him to Faith. A direct address. “Faith, Patches.” God does work in mysterious ways. Sometimes. Other times, he just slaps you in the face with Truth! So, their friendship continued and grew deeper. Faith suggested that Patrick meet her parents (and 8 siblings) to explore the idea of dating. TERRIFYING. But the deed was done. They were being called together. Faith and Patrick got her parents blessing to begin dating. One year later, after seeing God’s faithfulness time and time again, Faith and Patrick are planning their wedding, and moreover, their marriage! They could not be more excited and humbled by the support and encouragement of their friends and family. What a wonder! What a life! What love is poured over us by Our Heavenly Father!
