Our happily ever after

What has kept our relationship strong and interesting is that we have never been a conventional couple. We met online, meeting on the internet like so many in our generation but starting our relationship different with communication, trust and full disclosure on our personal needs and our past struggles. We found each other at the perfect time in our lives, both taking it upon ourselves to heal our hearts, both learning to step out on our own and ready to take a chance. On our first date he walked up to my car as I was blaring incubus trying to calm my nerves, although I couldn't understand why I was so nervous. He claims it was love at first sight and truth be told it took me about 2 weeks. On our Third date he said "I love you" first, I gave him a wicked tongue lashing for making me feel vulnerable but he continued to be there for me and gently broke down all my walls of over Independence and self preservation and taught me I could truly rely on him. Weeks very quickly have turned into years and we can't even fathom or imagine our lives without each other.
