BARRY'S BEACH RENTALS
SSI is perfect for biking. If you want to rent one for a few hours or the entire weekend, Barry's rentals offer reasonable prices and a solid selection. They also offer other beach rentals like kayaks and stand-up paddle boards.
East Beach
One of the main beach access points. Here you will find an old Coast Guard Station that has been renovated and turned into the World War II Home Front Museum. Getting out to the beach is easy with a boardwalk that goes out onto the soft sand. You'll also find restrooms and changing rooms here.
Driftwood Beach
This picturesque beach on Jekyll Island's north end features numerous driftwood trees. Its about a thirty minute drive from St. Simons Island but worth the trip.
Fort Frederica
Fort Frederica is the best place to get a great history lesson, as well as a view of the gorgeous marsh!
Southern Soul Barbeque
Southern Living magazine dubbed this St. Simons barbecue spot housed in a former gas station “the best barbecue in the South”. For newbies to southern bbq, you must try the Brunswick stew!
