Cary and Esther frequent Chestnut Street, and you could say, is one of the places they fell in love! Some of their favorite spots include Tacolicious for tacos and margaritas, Pete's Coffee, Lucca Deli for delicious sandwiches, cheeses, deviled eggs and other snacks, and California Wine Merchant. Take a step in the life of Cary and Esther - grab a snack on Chestnut, and head over to the Palace of Fine Arts for a picnic!
Although the Palace of Fine Arts isn’t directly on Chestnut Street, it is a nearby site that is a must-see. The building is located just a few blocks off of Chestnut Street and Richardson Avenue. Even if visitors don’t make it inside the building, the Greco-Roman rotunda and the surrounding lake and park are a sight to behold all in itself. In fact, it is one of the most photographed places in San Francisco. The structure has been there since 1915 and can seat more than 950 guests. It is host to a variety of entertainment events. Some of the shows include the Russian Ballet, comedians, musical performances and charity events.
