We recommend flying into Laguardia or JFK airports
NYC has a ton of airports, but Laguardia is definitely the easiest for domestic flights. Both JFK and Laguardia are short cab rides to the Moxy Williamsburg. If you are flying into JFK, check out commuting and using the AirTrain, it is very easy and connects you to most major subway lines.

You don't really need a rental car, especially if you are staying in Williamsburg - which is very walkable. If you aren't familiar with the subways, try downloading the CityMapper app which is very helpful to get you around the city.
