We ask guests to dress in Black Tie Preferred. This is slightly less formal than black-tie attire, and as a result, it allows for a little more flexibility when it comes to your ensemble. Men are not required to wear tuxedos, but will need to wear full suits - if you have a tuxedo you can bust it out but don't feel obligated to get a tuxe. Women should wear full-length dresses, but if someone is wearing a cocktail dress, it would be acceptable. Day time attire such as sundresses, khakis, or sneakers are not appropriate.
Out of respect for the Bride, white & ivory or light champagne should not be worn.
First, thank you SO much for your generosity. If you prefer to not purchase through Zola or found a better deal that is no issue - please just reach out to Lauren or Tyler so we can update the registry.
Unfortunately, no. Only the guest(s) indicated on your invitation are invited to the wedding.
Although we love kids, unless named by the Bride & Groom - children are not invited to our wedding.
To keep with the spirit of the hustle & bustle of NYC, there will be no shuttle from the Moxy Hotel to Giando on the Water. The hotel is approximately a 9 minute walk to the venue.
Our wedding ceremony will be outside on the patio of Giando, with the gorgeous views of the NYC skyline. The patio is not grass, so don't worry about your heels sinking in! The reception will take place inside, and the after party will return outdoors to the patio. Sunblock is encouraged - it does get quite hot & humid in NYC in the summer, especially cause it is a lot of walking. (I know all the Southerners reading this are laughing, but I promise it is toasty here lol)
Yes, there is valet.
After many trips to Giandos, oooof I absolutely do not recommend taking the G train - it is a HIKEEEEEE from the G-stop lol. There is a bus that drops you off close to Giando. This bus has a sparse schedule - ensure to look at schedules or delays on apps like Google Maps or City Mapper.
