No, if you see a hotel or airbnb that is close by and want to stay there, that is completely up to you. The hotels listed are optional.
There is a parking lot behind the Renaissance, but please pay close attention so no one gets towed. Any parking spot with a yellow line is our parking spaces and you are okay parking there. If it has a white line, you run the risk of getting towed for those are not our spots. We also get married on the weekend so street parking is also free. As long as the signs don't say no parking, you can disregard the hour limits on weekend. If you want to carpool, Uber, or Lyft, that is okay as well. Access to Parking: Begins: 30mins before ceremony Ends: 30mins after reception ends.
The attire for this wedding is formal. Women should wear a formal floor-length evening gown, no exceptions. Pair your dress with jewelry, heels, and an elegant clutch. Men are required to wear a suit or tuxedo with tails, a formal white shirt, white vest and tie/bow tie, and formal footwear, such as derby shoes or oxfords. All guests are asked to wear Champagne! Men can wear black suits but any accessory/accents must be Champagne. Example: Something one would wear to a gala, award ceremony, or formal charity event or fundraiser.
Ceremony starts at 5pm. Everyone can arrive to the venue an hour before. Please note that once the wedding has started the doors will be closed. If you don't want to miss the ceremony please arrive between 4:00-4:59pm.
Indoors!
Kids, are allowed to come. However, there will be a bar and people will be drinking. If you do not want your kids exposed to adult activities, or want to indulge in adult activities without your kids, then you would have to make that decision of letting them come or leaving them behind. We are not apposed to kids being present, but it's up to you. IMPORTANT: We accounted for the people who have kids that we know of in the guest list. When you go to RSVP their name will be listed there. As the parent you just have to click yes or no to their attendance. If your kid is not listed on the RSVP and you would like for them to be present please contact the bride and groom directly at coatesfamily0825@gmail.com.
Those who are invited have to RSVP their attendance. We were limited on the amount of people we could invite. We have some wiggle room on guest count but for the most part we are only inviting who we invited.
We are doing heavy Hors D'oeuvre. We are aware that some people are allergic to seafood. So seafood will not be served. If you have any dietary restrictions other than seafood allergy. Please let the Bride and Groom know ASAP!
Yes!
We have hired photographers and videographers to take photos and videos of our wedding and we want to include you as the guest in them. However, we do not want Apple and Samsung to take over such a beautiful moment. We will give a time where everyone can take a picture after we say I DO. Most people don't realize that when taking photos and videos they are covering their face. We want to see everyone's beautiful faces and not phones.
August 25th 2023. (The day we started dating.)
Yes! We do have a wedding registry on this site. Most of it includes experience gifts, because we like to do things together. However, if you would love to grace us with a physical gift you can bring that to the wedding.
