7:00 pm - 11:00 pm
This is a fun color-blocked event, and an opportunity to wear South Asian attire (fully optional) such salwars, lehengas, or sarees for women, and panjabis/kurtas for men. If you are on the bride's side, we ask that the women wear yellow/orange colors, and the men wear blue/teal colors. If you are on the groom's side, we ask that the women wear pink, and the men wear green (emerald).
- This is a fully optional event - We understand some guests may not have the opportunity to travel into town early, but all are invited! The holud night is a night to celebrate the bride and groom before the wedding reception! It is a night where we place turmeric on the faces of the bride and groom in order to give them a beautiful glow before the wedding. The henna night is when the bride has her intricate henna placed on her hands prior to the wedding. This event will consist of a buffet dinner provided for all guests followed by dancing. There will be a chance to put turmeric on Erik and Lamia/feed them sweets before the wedding night, and there will also be henna artists at the table for any guests who are interested.
