KC's premier outdoor shopping and dining center. The 15-block district is made up of Spanish-inspired architecture and is well known for its restaurants, local shops, and designer stores.
Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art
The Nelson-Atkins is recognized as one of America's finest art museums. Their collection spans thousands of years and features historical architectural pieces, paintings, prints, sculptures, and photos. Just outside of the museum, the 22-acre lawn is home to the Donald J. Hall Sculpture Park.
Union Station Kansas City
Home to the Amtrak station, exhibits, restaurants, Science City, a planetarium, a movie theater, and more. Union Station is also near the Crown Center shopping & entertainment district and the National World War I Museum.
Boulevard Brewing Company
A craft beer staple in the Midwest and one of our favorites! Enjoy a beer during the 1-hour guided tour of the facilities or at the Beer Hall. Our favorites include the Boulevard Wheat, Boulevard Pale Ale, and the Tank 7 (8.5% ABV).
Messenger Coffee Co. + Ibis Bakery
A tri-level coffee shop and bakery with a roof deck. One of our favorite places to grab coffee in Kansas City!
Jack Stack Barbecue
Not to be biased, but Kansas City has some of the best barbecue in the world. Our favorites include Jack Stack, Joe's Kansas City, Q39, and Arthur Bryant's.
J. Rieger & Co.
Distillery in Kansas City's West Bottoms offering tours and spirits tastings, shopping in the Mercantile Gift Shop, and dining at one of their 4 unique restaurant experiences. There is also a 40-foot custom built slide in The Monogram Lounge!
Power and Light District
An entertainment district with 50+ shops, restaurants, and bars. It also features Kansas City Live! - a covered outdoor courtyard which hosts frequent events and concerts.
River Market
The River Market is home to one of the largest public farmers markets in the Midwest. On Saturdays, they host more than 140 local vendors who offer fresh produce, flowers, baked goods, handmade products, and more. Many locally owned restaurants and cafes are also located in the River Market.
Zona Rosa Town Center
A mixed-use urban center located in north Kansas City near the airport and downtown featuring 100+ shopping, dining, and entertainment options.
Green Dirt Farm Creamery
Shop featuring a selection of sandwiches, cheeses and cured meat boards, beer, wine, and ice cream from local small-batch makers. Located 10 minutes from the wedding venue.
Pirtle Winery
A family-owned and operated winery within a historic church that offers tours and tastings. Located 10 minutes from the wedding venue.
Jowler Creek Vineyard & Winery
Missouri's first green vineyard and winery. They produce several wines in various styles ranging from dry to sweet. Located 10 minutes from the wedding venue.
