In New Orleans, as much as anywhere in the world, music is something that brings people together. Such is the case in how Eric and Maggie came together. In the summer of 2019, Maggie Belle set out to record her first full length album. Recommended as one of the best producers in New Orleans, Maggie called Eric to help her bring the album to life with his talents as a multi-instrumentalist and expertise in music production. The album was recorded and over the course of the following year, what started as a musical partnership turned into friendship, companionship, and eventually a deep love for one another. Eric told Maggie he loved her for the first time on January 1st 2020. Maggie returned the simple words she had wanted to say for months: "I love you too". A statement now shared so often, but with a meaning she had never truly understood until meeting Eric. Through a life-altering pandemic, hours spent collaborating in music, meeting each other's beautiful families, and moving into a home together in January 2022, their love for each other has continued to grow stronger everyday. On April 10th 2022, after brunch at Live Oak Cafe (the place of their first date), Eric proposed to Maggie in the studio apartment they had spent so many hours working on her record and building their relationship over the past two and a half years. On April 8th 2023, surrounded by their closest friends and family, Eric and Maggie will take their vows to love and support each other for the rest of their days. This marks the beginning of a new chapter in their story together.
