We are praying for sunshine! But it is December in northern Florida, so expect the beach to be a little chilly. A typical temperature in December in 65º. Please plan to bring something warm to wear if you get cold!
We will make the call to move inside as late as possible. We want to be outdoors! But there is a rain location inside the hotel if the weather doesn't cooperate. If the weather looks iffy day-of, look for communication from Jeremy or Erica about the change in location. Please note: if we have to move inside, we will expect guests to adhere to more strict COVID safety measures. Mostly this means mask wearing - see details below about COVID.
We know planning a wedding during a global pandemic is a risk and we are grateful for the support you are showing us by being with us on this day. We will be exercising reasonable precautions during the wedding - doing our best to keep the event outdoors, spacing guests apart when it seems necessary, and providing a sanitization station. We appreciate that many of you are traveling to attend our wedding, but do ask that if you are feeling at all unwell on the days leading up to the wedding, please do not travel! We want you to be safe and want to keep our guests as safe as possible. Please know we may have to move inside if it rains. We ask that you bring a mask and be prepared to wear it if we will be in close proximity to each other. Thanks for helping us to make this day possible! The wedding reception buffet will be a served buffet. Details will be shared at the reception. The rehearsal dinner is also a buffet, but gloves and hand sanitizer will be provided.
This is a beach wedding! The bridal party will likely be in bare feet. We want you to be comfortable and casual. Think beach casual.
There are so many hotels and Air BnBs all over Panama City Beach. We have room blocks at the Hampton Inn hotel where the wedding will take place. Please visit the Travel tab to book a room with our special rates if you would like. But don't feel like you have to stay here! For anyone looking to make this their own Florida beach vacation - checkout any places to stay along Panama City Beach.
For those of you staying at the hotel, you can use the parking garage (across the street) that is for hotel guests. For those of you not staying at the hotel, you are still able to use the parking garage for the day - but please no overnight parking. When you arrive, there is a gate to buzz in and all you have to say is you are here for the "Street-Elwell Wedding." We're the only wedding that day so everyone should not what you are referring to! Parking is free to our guests.
Yes! This is one of the beauty's of a small wedding where we are celebrating with close friends and family. The wedding party will do a rehearsal earlier in the day on Dec. 11th, and then we invite everyone attending the wedding to join us at 6pm at Jeremy's house for the backyard BBQ. We'll have a fire pit with s'mores to toast, lots of food, and drinks.
Yes. We are having a full meal right on the beach! We are lucky enough to be able to set up the ceremony and reception all in the same location. After the ceremony, we'll serve a few appetizers while we all take pictures and then dinner will be served around 12:30pm. Cake will happen somewhere in there as well!
