We're married!

The first thing I remember Jeremy saying to me was "you all look like you're looking for sunshine and sailing." I was standing at the Pilot House Marina in Key Largo, Florida waiting to start a 4-day learn-to-sail trip with my cousins and sister. Jeremy was our Captain. The two of us spent four days pretending we didn't notice each other, and then on our last day together we decided we were going to make something work. We've been dating ever since. We met sailing and will keep sailing together for the rest of our lives!

I thought Jeremy was on a sunset sail in Panama City, Florida. It had been a tough few weeks being apart and I was counting down the last 5 days until I could see him. After arriving home late from work, I heard a knock on my front door. My sister was outside grilling so I was very confused why she didn't answer! When I pushed open the door, Jeremy was standing on my front porch beaming. I still didn't get it. I thought he was just there to surprise me. But after we hugged for a long time, he got down on one knee and pulled out the ring. I said yes! We'll see you in Panama City Beach on December 12!

We could not have asked for better weather as we gathered on Panama City Beach on a warm Saturday morning. The day was a sunny 70º and we were surrounded by close family and friends who shared in our special day. We're beyond thankful for the love and support everyone showed us by being here for us.

Jeremy is a sailboat captain who owns his own sailing school in Panama City, Florida. I'm a Maine girl who grew up with boats and by the water. So one thing we know for sure - sailing, and lots of it, are in our future. I have made the move to Florida and we are taking it one step at a time, settling into married life. Our life has the potential of being very nomadic as we explore options for expanding the sailing school to Maine in the summer and keeping two locations running in Florida during the winter. There's a pretty good chance we will wind up living on a boat in 2021 as well! Look us up for some sunshine and sailing.
