At this point everyone knows the story - but just in case you need a primer on the Eric and Lillian lore, we met on a website called tumblr.com in 2012. We're skipping a lot of the middle here (Eric got his wisdom teeth removed and in a medicated stupor bared his soul on Facebook Messenger, etc etc), but in fall of 2013 we each boarded a Greyhound bus to meet halfway between Nashville and Columbus - Louisville, Kentucky - and spend the weekend together. We walked to Indiana, listened to a lot of Radiolab, tried to walk through the McDonald's drive through, hammocked in a city park and became obsessed with each other. We had no plan beyond that, but the 6 hour drive from Belmont to OSU became routine and we spent all four years of college long distance. We travelled all over the country together, somehow having the best days of our lives in heavy hitter towns such as "Sandusky Ohio" and "Escanaba Michigan". Every day became a countdown to the next time we would be blasting Bruce Springsteen in Eric's Jetta while he shouted over the music about quantitative easing. In 2017 the countdown finally ended and we got our first big kid jobs in Seattle, but our shared joy of turning the mundane into a book of inside jokes never faded. Ten years after that weekend in Louisville at a German beerhall in Queens, Eric proposed in front of an enthusiastic and ragtag group of close friends we've collected across our many years together. Everyone cried!
