Flight

There are a few airports reasonably close to Lancaster: Philadelphia, Baltimore, DC, etc. . However the Lancaster and Philadelphia airports are generally the most convenient. The Lancaster Airport is a 20 minute drive from the venue, but if a direct flight is too expensive, there is a train route that runs from the Philadelphia airport to the Lancaster train station. Silver Star (Amtrak)
We've taken Amtrak to Lancaster several times, and while it is definitely one of the slower travel options, it has often been the least stressful and most cost effective option. They offer student, senior, and group discounts as well as a few others; we've attached the link to their official discount page below. If traveling from Tampa or another Florida station it will definitely be a long haul and likely more expensive, or at least equivalent, to a plane ticket or driving. However roomettes and bedrooms are available for 2 passengers, making the trip much more comfortable. Both roomettes and bedrooms include meals served in the dining car, while bedrooms additionally have private bathrooms and showers. These options may be more expensive, but they take much of the pressure and planning out of the logistics of a long trip. If traveling from Columbia, the ride time and ticket prices are comparable to driving the same distance. Every Amtrak ticket comes with 1 personal item and 2 carry-on bags, with availability to check large items like luggage and bicycles for an additional fee. The Lancaster train station is just under a 30 minute drive from the wedding venue and is a mile from the nearest hotel. If you're not in a hurry and are looking for a more memorable and relaxing trip north, we recommend the Silver Star.
