Downtown Lancaster
Located in the heart of Lancaster County, Downtown Lancaster has all sorts of art museums, historical landmarks, dining options, theaters, stores, and specialty shops. You really can't go wrong!
Chickies Rock County Park
The most notable feature in the park is Chickies Rock itself, a massive outcropping of quartzite rock towering 100 feet above the river. The vista offers impressive views of York county, the borough of Marietta, and farmlands of northwestern Lancaster County. Chickies Rock County Park is also a collection of historical treasures. The area once boasted several iron furnaces and rolling mills, a canal and a local trolley line. Remnants of several furnaces, canal walls, and trolley-line grades are still visible.
Fox Meadows Creamery
Ice cream made in-house from their farm's dairy cows, plus espresso & locally sourced specialty foods. This is one of the first places that Emma took Pearce on his first trip to Lancaster: A) because he's a sucker for good ice cream B) because its a Lancaster staple.
