Question
Is there a dress code?
Answer
Dress code is semi-formal. Denim is not allowed at the venue.
Question
What precautions for Covid-19 will be set forth?
Answer
We are doing our best to maximize the safety of our guests, and appreciate you taking a leap of faith with us! There will be approx. 85 total guests in attendance, not including vendors or staff. We're now able to have a cocktail hour and reception (including dinner, drinks and dancing). The ceremony, cocktail hour and reception will be outdoors (see below for a potential exception to this). Masks will be recommended if going indoors for the restroom, etc., but not required outdoors. If there is lightening or unrelenting rain the day of our wedding, we will need both the ceremony and the reception to be indoors. Tables will be socially distanced, and you are welcome to mask up when standing up/ walking around (although not required). We'll provide masks and sanitizer. If there is any part of our wedding day that you do not feel comfortable attending, please let us know.

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

There is an optional Sunday goodbye brunch (half indoors/ half outdoors), from 10am-12pm, for anyone still in town and comfortable with attending! Location is at The Lakes Apartments in the Club Room (2nd Floor), at 2622 Lake Street.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?
Answer
As of now, no. We're hoping you agree - the wedding is smaller, we're likely not all staying at a centralized hotel, and ubers are plentiful. Please let us know if you'd prefer we coordinate transport, though!

Do you have any hotel recommendations?
Answer
We have added two hotel block links on the "Travel" tab - The Hewing and The Westin Edina. Other solid hotel options are The Emery Hotel (near the "Warehouse District" downtown, recently updated when the Superbowl was in MPLS), and Hotel Alma (sweet little hotel above a charming restaurant/ cafe in St. Antony Falls). For anyone looking to get a bit outside downtown, we recommend booking an Airbnb or VRBO near The Lakes (Harriet, Bde Maka Ska, Isles) - that's where we'll be staying!

Can I make a food allergy request?
Answer
Yes! If you have any dietary restrictions (gluten allergy, vegan, etc.), please reach out directly to us and we'll make sure your meal is compliant.

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?
Answer
The ceremony will start at 5:00pm - we kindly ask guests to arrive around 30-15 minutes prior.

Parking at the venue?
Answer
Yes! The Minikahda Club has ample parking and complimentary valet.

Are children welcome?
Answer
We love your little ones - but we want our wedding to be your night off, and would appreciate it if you let the kids sit this one out. Let us know if we can help find you a sitter for the night!
