Yes, we both grew up in Edina, MN and attended Edina High School, but our story begins years later and miles away, in 2016 at Phebes ("Feebs") establishment and bar in the East Village of Manhattan... It was a sunny Saturday afternoon in November when Sean received a text from his friend/ DePauw University football legend, Chase, which simply read: "Watching games at Phebes. Swing by." Upon his arrival, Sean quickly realized that he was walking into a college reunion of sorts - specifically, the Monon Bell alumni viewing party ("Monon" is a college football rivalry game, played annually between the DePauw Tigers and the Wabash Little Giants - yes, the Lil' Giants). Lucky for Sean, Chase quickly introduced him to another DePauw alum, Emily, who was also there to watch the big game. The two learned that each other had attended Edina High School - wow, small world, they had yet to (knowingly) cross paths! The Tigers won that day, and the rest is history... Emily and Sean spent the remainder of the day together, bar hopping with friends and stopping for a slice at Prince Street Pizza, where Emily took one bite of her original square and dripped red sauce directly on her white tee - Sean knew then that she had a pizza his heart.
