Directions to Sky Hill

From I-81 southbound: Exit I-81 (about 20 miles before Lexington) at the Raphine exit (#205); go R at exit stop sign, through the town and continue on Rt 606 past Rockbridge Vineyards, for about 5 miles to the next stop sign, a “T” at Rt 252; go L (south) onto Rt 252; go about one mile into the town of Brownsburg. In the middle of town, about 50 yards past the Post Office, turn R onto Rt 724 (Hays Creek Rd). Go about 4 miles, being careful to bear L where the 724 turns sharply L up the hill; continue 2 miles, straight past the Yield sign at the Dumpsters (on your R); go another half mile, over a concrete bridge. Just 50 feet over the bridge, make L onto Jump Mtn. Road (also Rt. 724, gravel); go 1.1 miles up the gravel road, and turn R at the blue mailbox. From Lexington: Take Rt. 11 (Main St) north out of town, turn L onto Rt. 39 (to Goshen, Horse Center, Rockbridge Baths), go about 12 miles to Rockbridge Baths, past the Post Office about ¼ mile turn R onto Walkers Creek Rd (Rt. 602). Begin counting bridges. Go about 4 miles, being careful to bear L at the Dumpsters, until you go over the 4th bridge. Turn L off Walkers Creek Rd 50 feet after the 4th bridge, onto Jump Mtn. Rd (also 724, gravel). Sky Hill is 1.1 miles up, on the right, at the blue mailbox.
