You can't visit LBI without stepping onto the sand at least once. During the summer months, day passes are available for purchase at most beach entry points (and if no one’s there, you're usually home free). LBI has some of the most beautiful beaches on the east coast and we hope you can experience them during your stay.
If you're in the mood for a sandwich, Lenny & John's Subs in Holgate is a must-do. Get the L&J Classic Sloppy Joe (Pastrami, Corned Beef, Turkey & Swiss) and you'll thank us later.
Our recommendation for good coffee on the island. A nice spot to sit and relax if you have some extra time!
Stop by Ship Bottom Brewery's taproom in Bay Village (Beach Haven) for a flight. Grab some food at one of the many nearby restaurants and bring it in to enjoy with your beer.
One of our favorite places on LBI for a few reasons. They have a dollar oyster/clam happy hour, craft beer and prosecco on tap and they carry a selection of great wine (Wölffer Estate specifically). Order some oysters, crackers, a beer or a glass of wine and grab a table around the corner outside.
Another great seafood option in a location full of great restaurants. A tiny spot with great food and classic cocktails.
For some old fashioned fun, visit this compact amusement park in Beach Haven. Complete with a Ferris Wheel and classic fair games, this is a great place to spend an evening on the island.
Hands down the best mini golf on the island.
Locals call it Old Barney, built in the 1950's, this landmark is a great place to venture to for some outdoor time, fresh ocean air and serves as a great excuse to visit the northern most tip of the island.
Emily's parents would take the family here on every trip to the island. Featured on Diners, Drive-in's and Dives so you know it must be good. Order the cream chipped beef!
Locals refer to it as the Chegg, this is the perfect late night spot for hot wings and egg sandwiches among others.
An LBI institution that Emily used to visit as a child during family visits to the island. A great place for a souvenir from your trip.
Justin's favorite ice cream spot - the line is worth it!
Emily's favorite ice cream spot - the line is worth it here too!
Our favorite gourmet food store on LBI - try their paninis and sandwiches too if you're there around lunchtime. Our favorite is the Ship Bottom Brewery specialty sandwich (Pastrami, Swiss, Cole Slaw, Horseradish Mustard on Marble Rye). They also have a great selection of hot sauces from across the country to try!
Our favorite dinner spot, it's BYOB so plan to bring a bottle of wine to enjoy along with your meal.
