FAQs

Question

What pronouns should I be using?

Answer

Both Ember and Travis's pronouns are they/them. If you don't know someone's pronouns, start by sharing your own! Please do not assume someone's gender. You can politely ask someone what their pronouns are.

Question

Will there be American Sign Language interpreters?

Answer

Yes. There will be two ASL interpreters. Parts of the ceremony will be spoken and parts will be in ASL. Both will be interpreted.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We encourage you to wear fun elegant clothing that keeps you comfortable. We suggest sundresses, lighter-hued suits, fun hats and fascinators, dressy jumpsuits, colorful jackets, and slacks. The ceremony takes place on a grassy lawn so maybe rethink the stilettos.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There is an abundance of free parking available on a grassy lawn, so be sure to think about your footwear.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

We encourage you to RSVP on the website as soon as you can! RSVP by July 18th

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you.

Question

Is this event wheelchair accessible?

Answer

No. The barn has two ramps, one in the front and one in the back. The lawn area for ceremony and cocktail hour is short cut grass. There is one step up into the summer house. There is a bathroom with a ramp leading to the wedding suite that has a half step up. Bathroom trailers are not wheelchair accessible.
