Things To Do

Ah, the Big Easy. Let us make your trip a bit easier and suggest some places we think are worth checking out.

The Tchoup Yard

405 Third Street, New Orleans, LA 70130

The bar food here is headed by the very same Chef Pat who's in charge of our wedding menu! Get yourself a sneak preview and try the tater totchos with chorizo. The rose and margarita slushies are strong, so be prepared. And you can bring your (leashed) dog!

Nomiya

4226 Magazine Street, New Orleans, LA 70115
, (504) 909-5796

People who know us well know that we love real good ramen. This Magazine Street gem has some of the best tonkotsu ramen either of us has ever had. For our veggie friends, we recommend the kuro (black garlic) bowl. Ask for extra egg and seaweed!

New Orleans Museum of Art

1 Collins Diboll Circle, New Orleans, LA 70124
, (504) 658-4100

If the weather's good, going through Besthoff Sculpture Garden is a great way to pass the time.

Ogden Museum of Southern Art

925 Camp Street, New Orleans, LA 70130
, (504) 539-9650

This funky building has one of the coolest collections of Southern art down South.

Sea Cave

3000 Saint Claude Avenue, New Orleans, LA 70117
, (504) 662-1926

An actual factual arcade! The cabinets and funky decor are what draw you in, but it's the drinks, fun food (that fried tofu!), and cool crowd that get you to stay longer.

Jamaican Jerk House

4017 Saint Claude Avenue, New Orleans, LA 70117
, (504) 777-7799

If you're up for good food but just want take-out, literally don't go anywhere else. This place is as authentic as it comes and the plates are HUGE. Our favorites are definitely the oxtails, plantains, corn, and the curry shrimp.

For all the days along the way
