Mitch and I love to take a scenic drive up to Ski Apache. Ski Apache has lots of fun summer activities! Mountain biking, gondola rides, and zipline across the Rockies are just to name a few!
White Sands National Park
Take a scenic one hour drive from Ruidoso to White Sands National Park! Rising from the heart of the Tularosa Basin is one of the world's great natural wonders - the glistening white sands of New Mexico. Great wave-like dunes of gypsum sand have engulfed 275 square miles of desert, creating the world's largest gypsum dune field.
Flying J Ranch
Fun for the whole family! A western experience complete with pony rides, an old time Western show, and barbeque dinner. Be sure to stay for dancing during the dinner!

Only a scenic one hour drive to a delightful winery in Alamogordo! This would be a great destination for dinner after visiting White Sands! At Heart of the Desert, they are known for there homegrown pistachios, award winning wines, cookies, candies, and much more! Enjoy a nice dinner on the patio!
