There are seemingly endless places to stay in Rome so we've outlined the below recommendations in Trastevere and the city center for those new to the Eternal City. Trastevere is considered the 'heart' of Rome and is where our wedding festivities will take place. Mostly laid out in the medieval era, its cobblestone streets are the perfect place for aimless wandering and getting lost among beautiful buildings and piazzas, especially in the area between Via Garibaldi and Viale di Trastevere. The city center is located a short stroll across the river Tiber and offers Rome's most famous sights during the daytime, but we recommend Trastevere at night. Please check booking websites like booking.com for the best hotel rates (vs. the hotel websites linked below) as well as Rome's fantastic rental options through Airbnb, Plum Guide and Sonder. Note Rome is hosting the 2023 Ryder Cup the weekend before our wedding so we recommend booking as soon as possible to avoid issues!
