Once upon a time at a Kimberly High School baseball game, Ella and her mom were gabbing away when "Number 5" was up to bat. Without knowing who he was (judging this book solely on the cover), Ella looked over and said "mom, I'm going to marry Number 5 one day." Kami laughed, and although she might deny saying it, said, "Ella, I think I have a better chance of marrying him than you do." After grabbing a program to reveal who the unknown "Number 5" was, Ella realized it was none other than Zach Carney. Spoiler alert...Ella was right!

Flash-forward 11 months and the two would finally meet. Thanks to their mutual friend (and future groomsman) Drew, Zach and Ella began to chat. Ella may have danced around the house when she saw "Zach Carney" added her on Snapchat! Zach invited her over for dinner at his house where they bonded over cars, college football, and action movies...all of Ella's favorite things! If you haven't heard the "Baker Mayfield Story" make sure to ask about it at the wedding, it's a good one! From here, their relationship flourished into something bigger than either of them could have imagined.

After four and a half years of college baseball games, late-night study sessions, movie nights with Ella's roommates, and so many beautiful memories, Zach popped the question! The morning started at Mohnen's Diner (where Drew first mentioned Ella's name to Zach) with a heart-felt card about "where it all began." The two took a drive to their favorite spot, Door County, where Zach got down on one knee and asked Ella to be his wife. They stopped for ice cream and made the phone calls to spread the good news, many tears were shed - especially by the mother of the bride! A date was set, the planning began, and the happiness has been overflowing ever since.

Since the engagement, Zach and Ella have experienced so many life changes. The two moved out to Grafton, WI, adopted their "daughter" August, started graduate programs (one dropped out to start planning other peoples' weddings), got job offers, and have made incredible memories along the way. What's left? The two are eagerly awaiting the start of their "forever" as husband and wife and cannot wait to share their day with all of you. See you soon!
