we're getting married!

We met at a favorite spot in Shem Creek on Cinco de Mayo of 2017 - The Shelter Kitchen + Bar. While Elijah was sitting at the bar, Ashleigh came up to order and Elijah offered his seat. They both started chatting away, Ashleigh learned about Elijah's passion for selling grain and cheering on the Razorbacks, while he was in awe with her beautiful red hair. They later went to go see the band that will be playing at their wedding (The Midnight City Band!) and have since been together for four years.

Parents to a beautiful, perfect, angel dog named Memphis, it is very typical to take her to the beach. Elijah asked if Ashleigh wanted to take Memphis to the beach on a sunny Saturday in November 2020. They walked out onto the beach and saw a large crowd in the distance. As they got closer Ashleigh spotted a few of their friends, and was confused (really she didn't know what was happening). Before being able to put it together, Elijah got down on one knee and proposed with about 20 of their close friends in the background, cheering them on. The group took photos and popped champagne before heading to The Shelter to celebrate with an engagement party where they had met. It was a true surprise and an amazing day. She said yes to the mullet!
