We're getting "Murried"!

Elaina transferred to Houghton Academy in the fall of 2016, where she met Lee for the first time. Elaina was in 11th grade and Lee was a 9th grader.. (scandalous!) They played on the boy's soccer team together and became good friends. They actually had their first "date" while they were in high school! Lee and Elaina had their time apart after graduating, as Elaina attended college and Lee attended the ALERT Academy after he graduated. Throughout that time, they always continued to be good friends as Elaina remained reserved about the possibility of pursuing a relationship with Lee because he seemed too good to be true. During his time at ALERT, Lee sent handwritten letters to Elaina, and that is when she first knew that Lee was truly special. Elaina continued to be asked by her family and friends, "how Babyface Lee was doing?" They must've known he was special too:) After what Lee describes as a lifetime, they reconnected and it was like no time had passed. They continued to have the best adventures together; going on hikes, exploring new restaurants, and being extremely competitive at anything they play.

Lee and Elaina were hiking at Watkins Glen, seeing the beautiful sites of the trails. As they got to the bottom of one of the waterfalls, Lee asked a stranger that had been walking behind them the whole time, to take their picture. As this very kind stranger continued to take their picture, Lee got down on one knee and popped the question. Before Elaina could even process what was happening, Lee recalls that she said, "What are you doing??" But quickly after that she said, "Yes, of course I will!" Afterwards, they celebrated with awesome BBQ and the BEST fried pickles they had ever had. It will for sure be a day that both of them will never forget!
