A Letter to Our Favorite People

You've seen it all... from being each other's high school prom dates to getting engaged in September 2022. You've seen us navigate two different colleges hours apart..only to find ourselves at a college within 30 minutes of each other half a year later. As you all know, the two of us can't stay apart for long! You've been there when we purchased our first home and built a family with our dog and cats. It's been an amazing 9 years so far! We love that so many of you were there to take part in it, and we would be honored to share our next chapter with you! We're getting married! See you on the dance floor :) November 11th, 2023 xoxo

Our Story

December 21, 2013

We had several mutual friends and my brother was on Eddie's high school basketball team, so we definitely knew of each other. We had been to many parties together, but the thought of dating had not crossed our minds! Eventually, one of our mutual friends, George (one of our groomsmen!) texted me and told me Eddie had been talking about me and that I should text him! I finally worked up the courage to text him....after several draft texts and deleting of those texts. Eddie was at a house party when my message came through and he did not have the best service, so he went and stood outside by the street so he could text back and forth with me. We started dating one month later and the rest is history!

The Proposal

September 16, 2022

On September 16th, I came home from work and Eddie said "I have dinner reservations at a pretty nice place in Stone Harbor! We are leaving in an hour." It crossed my mind for a split second that I could possibly be getting engaged, especially when Eddie seemed to be so concerned about his outfit (so unlike him). During dinner, Eddie had my mom call me and tell me a lie that we needed to head down to her boyfriend's house on the bay and check on his boat. She said the neighbor had called and something was wrong with the boat. My mom was out of town, so it made sense for us to go down there to check things out. We finished dinner and made our way down there. Eddie convinced me to walk down the dock and check out the boat with him. When we got to the end of the dock, Eddie turned around and got down on one knee! I could not believe what was happening. Truly, the best day.
