10/6/23 Update - The wedding will now take place INSIDE at Blythefield Country Club

The short story is we met through mutual friends. The long story...you'd be shocked we ever got together in the first place! Grace and Eric aren't really sure the first time that they met, but Grace remembers the second time they met. She introduced herself to Eric at a friend's apartment and Eric responded, "I know. We've met once before." Oops! Eric's first recollection of Grace was walking into a party, seeing her dancing on a couch with a drink in hand, and thinking "wow she's so fun." While Grace was trying to set up Eric with her friends, Eric was slowly falling in like with her. Thankfully at a party, a girl walked up to them and said "Are you two dating? If not, you should be!" At that moment, Grace began her track star phase and ran away, only to realize as she was fleeing that dating Eric was a possibility. For the next three months, they played a mind game of chess and chicken trying to get each other's attention culminating in hiding from each other in separate bathrooms as the clock struck midnight on New Year's Eve. Over the next two months, Eric and Grace spent more time around each other and unbeknownst to them, found a mutual friend they both talked to about their feelings. Finally, one January night, in the basement club called Patron Saint, their friend had enough and decided it was time they went and "talked to each other about each other." Walking home, Eric and Grace finally expressed their feelings for each other, and a plan for a first date was set in motion. For the first date, Eric, wanting to go big or go home, surprised Grace with a date courtside at a Pacers Game. The date was a success and just a few days later, Grace was teaching Eric how to smuggle Dairy Queen Blizzards into the movie theater together. Valentine's Day was a week after their first date and Grace, not hanging up her track star shoes just yet, fled to Michigan to avoid the conversation of what you do for Valentine's Day after two dates. Eric let Grace know where things stood leaving a bag of Hershey's Kisses on her car since he would not be able to give her any that weekend. Soon thereafter, they realized they had eyes only for each other and the rest is history.
