Question

Travel: Do I need a passport to go to St. Croix?

Answer

St. Croix is part of the USVI (U.S. Virgin Islands) and is a U.S. territory, so U.S. citizens do not need a passport to visit. You will still need to show a license or photo ID like when you travel domestically.

Question

Travel: Will my cell phone work in St. Croix?

Answer

Several cell phone companies have service on the island, although some may include roaming or international charges. AT&T and Sprint are the most established service providers and will work most reliably. If you have Verizon, T-Mobile or any other provider please contact your service provider to inquire about your options as there may be roaming charges or an international plan that will work best during your time on the island. If you are opting to not have cell service during your stay you can use Wifi as a way to call and text. Since cell phone service can be spotty all over the island no matter your provider, we recommend that ALL guests download offline maps through Google Maps or Maps.me applications so that you can use GPS navigation without cell service.

Question

Travel: How do I get around STX without a rental car?

Answer

We recommend renting a car so that you can easily get groceries, go out to eat and see more of the island. Taxi service is not the most reliable on St. Croix and can become costly quickly. Unfortunately, Uber and Lyft do not currently operate there. If you do plan to use taxis to get to and from the airport or to get around generally, we recommend using the following vendor versus hailing a taxi. You can contact him ahead of time to confirm your ride. Prince Taxi Service Jaylen Gabriel jaylengabriel@yahoo.com (340) 642-3811

Question

Question

Wedding: Will parking be available at the wedding?

Answer

Yes, but it will be at the Salt River Marina, N Shore Rd, Christiansted, St Croix 00820, USVI, due to limited parking at the venue. We will be providing a shuttle service from there to the venue.

Question

Wedding: Will transportation be provided to/from the reception?

Answer

Yes, we will be providing shuttle transportation back to either your car or your accommodation after the reception.

Question

Wedding: If I take advantage of the shuttle home, can I leave my car at Salt River Marina parking lot overnight?

Answer

Yes, you can leave your car in the marina parking lot overnight and pick it up whenever you would like the next day.

Question

Wedding: How early can we arrive?

Answer

a. Jess and Drew will be arriving in St. Croix on Tues. 5/14. You’re welcome to come down to the island as early as you’d like, but we won’t be having any events until the Welcome Gathering on Fri. 5/17. b. Wedding- The wedding will begin with Cruzan cocktails at 3 p.m on Sat. May 18. Also, see the schedule page for a much more detailed plan and outline of events.

Question

Wedding Attire: What should I wear?

Answer

We hope our wedding will be a fun excuse to wear your favorite island elegant attire! Average temperatures in St. Croix in May are in the mid-80s during the day and mid-70s at night. We suggest that you dress in short sleeves and lightweight clothing. The islands are casual so leave your stilettos and suits at home. Most importantly wear something that you will be cool, comfortable as well as can easily walk and dance in!

Question

Wedding: Will there be dinner?

Answer

Oh yes, there will! We will have Cruzan cocktails (drinks and appetizers), an open bar, a pig roast with all the fixings including vegetarian-friendly dishes and desserts!

Question

Activities: Are there other wedding events that I’m invited to?

Answer

a. Everybody is welcome to join us at Art Walk Thursday in downtown Christiansted and then at Rowdy Joes the day before on Friday, May 17th starting at 6:30 pm for cocktails and a bite to eat for dinner. b. You are also invited to our day-after beach day on Sunday, May 19th. We will meet everyone at Rainbow beach anytime after 1 pm. c. You are also invited to join us for a tour of the island on Monday, May 20th. Meet at the Salt River Marina at 10 am.

Question

Activities: Are there activities planned all week?

Answer

We would like for our guests to look at their time in St. Croix as a vacation, just as we are. To allow the bride and groom some leisure and fun time they are only planning the activities listed on the Schedule page. If you want ideas for things to do on your vacation please visit the Activities page.
