Drew and Sydney met at Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine in 2013 where they were fast friends! Despite never dating in college, what grew was a strong foundation of friendship and an invisible string that would tie them together (although legend on campus has it that Drew proposed to Sydney a time or two after one too many Bud Lites). After graduation Drew and Sydney set out their separate ways to grow as individuals and explore their passions, trip and fall a few times, and grow into the people they were meant to become! This meant four years in Los Angeles for Drew and a tour from Washington D.C to Boston for Sydney. During the Pandemic, the invisible string worked its magic and Drew and Sydney found themselves both back near Bowdoin in July of 2020. It took all of a swift 7 days to fall for each other, surrounded by friends and in a place oh so special to them. What followed was an amazing year of long-distance, traveling to places like Jackson Hole, WY, Zion National Park in Utah, Florida, LA, Boston, and a special couple of months in Park City, UT. After a year, Drew packed up his minivan and drove across the country to start a life with Sydney in Boston and put an end to long distance. Drew and Sydney came to love Boston as their first home together. It was an amazing couple of years filled with new jobs, friends, a new fur baby, long walks on the Charles, trying every restaurant in the city and keeping their love for travel alive. Just a few months before their final days in the city (this is controversial because to Drew, the City is most definitely New York), Drew proposed to Sydney on the coldest day on record in Boston, surrounded by friends and family who braved the day to celebrate. Drew and Sydney are now living just outside Portland, Maine and enjoying their next adventure and chapter together. They cannot wait to say 'I do' in Maine where they first met!
