Esther and Drew first met in June of 2021 in Durham, North Carolina. With some suggestions by mutual friends, Drew asked Esther on their first date after his baseball game. The date went fantastic and they spent as much time together as possible between baseball games. During the first week, Esther met Drew’s parents, Scot and Ingrid and everyone hit it off.

Esther and Drew have made so many unforgettable memories all over the country. Thanks to baseball, Esther has visited Drew in 9 states, 15 cities, and booked over 63 flights. During the season, Esther has worked remotely from hotels, Air B&Bs and apartments. The evenings are spent at the ballpark cheering on Drew and even the weekly date night to explore new cities. Drew and Esther have enjoyed the off-seasons in Durham, North Carolina and visiting loved ones on the east and west coasts.

After many date nights, hundreds of airlines miles and multiple baseball organizations, Esther and Drew are ready to say "Yes" to forever. They were in West Palm Beach, Florida for the start of Drew’s spring training with the Astros. Drew coordinated with family members to pull off a surprise proposal on the beach in Boca Raton, Florida. He had every detail planned and lots of help from family members to surprise Esther and celebrate afterwards.
