Welcome!!! Please join us in a virtual celebration of our recent wedded union on March 4, 2020. Please peruse the following pages for more details in the journey of our love story.
We lived less than a mile from each other, our children attended the same school & after school program, and even attended the same tournament where Jeff and I would be just feet away from each other but we wouldn't meet until after his third message on an online dating site. With an impromptu decision to invite him for a walk and a caution that I would be in comfy clothes, no make up, and messy hair, he said he would be over in 5 minutes. We walked for 5 hours chatting as if we were old friends who knew each other our whole lives and were just casually catching up as if no time had passed at all.
Jeff recreated our first walk, pointing out places of importance along the way, and ending up at the place where he first held me. He re-enacted his instruction on how to skydive and while I was "jumping" he got down on one knee and he asked for me to turn around, there I saw him holding a watch, and saying, "Rebecca, the best gift you have ever given me is your time. Would you do me the honor of spending the rest of your time with me? Will you marry me?"
Our wedding day was filled with emotion. Both Jeffrey and I waited a long time for this day. We felt blessed to have found each other and committed to growing in our love. We chose to be married on March fourth to remind us to continue our journey together as we march forth in our love. The ceremony was held at Villa Siena in Gilbert Arizona, a picturesque venue reminiscent of the historic villages in Italy. Together we walked down the aisle to the song "Storybook Love" by Mark Knopfler from the Princess Bride movie. We read our personalized hand written vows, partook in communion, exchanged rings, and shared our first dance as husband and wife. We dined at a private fireside and candlelit dinner at the Cafe Monarch restaurant in Scottsdale Az where we feasted upon a 5 course meal of cauliflower soup, octopus, vegetable risotto, duck, rack of lamb, champagne, and celebratory dessert compliments of the chef. We were treated like royals and given many well wishes and blessings for our marriage. Immediately following dinner we raced off to the airport to begin our 12 hour journey towards our honeymoon.
