What is the wedding date and location?

We are thrilled to invite you to celebrate our special day on April 20, 2024 at The Castle at Rockwell. The ceremony and reception will both take place at the same venue to ensure a seamless and memorable experience for everyone.

How do I RSVP for the wedding?

Answer

To RSVP for our wedding, please respond by February 29, using the online form on our wedding website. We kindly request that all guests RSVP by the specified date to assist us in finalizing the arrangements. Beginning March 1, no response will be considered as a decline.

Are children welcome at the wedding?

Answer

While we adore children, we kindly request that our wedding be an adult-only affair to allow all guests to fully enjoy the festivities. If you do see an organic, free-range child chances are they are a niece or nephew.

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

We kindly request that only those listed on the invitation attend the wedding to ensure that we can accommodate all our guests comfortably.

What cultural traditions can we expect at this Nigerian-New Orleanian wedding?

Answer

First, we will be jumping the broom at the end of the ceremony to honor the historic African American tradition. During the reception, you can also expect to see the spraying of money on the newlyweds in honor of Doyin's Nigerian culture. You are by no means pressured to participate, but it will be fun to watch. Lastly, we will be having a second line dance in honor of James' New Orleans heritage and all are welcome to join.

Is there a dress code for the wedding?

Answer

We envision our wedding as a Black Tie optional affair. Please feel free to dress according to your personal style while keeping the suggested dress code in mind. Native Nigerian wear is also encouraged and the preferred color is Royal Blue. What time does the ceremony start?

Answer

The ceremony will commence at 6 PM, and we kindly ask our guests to arrive a little earlier to ensure a prompt start. Following the ceremony, the cocktail hour and reception will begin, featuring delightful food, music, and celebrations late into the evening.

Are there hotel accommodations for out-of-town guests?

Answer

We have arranged a special rate with a nearby hotel for the convenience of our out-of-town guests. Please visit our accommodations page for a list of recommended hotels and booking details.

Which airport should I fly into?

Answer

We have Dallas Love (DAL) and DFW (DFW) airports with both having various benefits. Dallas Love is closer to Rockwall, but has limited airlines. DFW has a wider range of airlines but would be roughly an hour away.

Is transportation provided to and from the wedding venue?

Answer

Transportation details will be provided for guests staying at select hotels. Please feel free to reach out to us for more information, and we will be happy to assist you in making transportation arrangements.
