Details: Grah Shanti is a prayer service to bless the wedding events to come. This will be followed by the Haldi ceremony, which is a fun, messy, and colorful pre-wedding celebration in which family and friends apply turmeric paste to the couple's face and body to give them a glow.

Details: Join us for a fun summer evening of lawn games and mehndi (henna) at the Club Lawn behind the club house on the golf course at the Grand Traverse Resort! Shuttles will be provided. Please park at the resort and take the shuttle as parking is not available at the Garvey Barn!

The sangeet is a traditional Indian evening to dance the night away in celebration of the wedding to come. Everyone is invited to socialize, eat until their bellies are full, and learn and join in on a traditional dance in the round called "garba" and a line dance called "raas".

Attire: Beach Formal. Western Attire - suits (tie optional), dresses. Indian Attire - jubhos, saris, lehengas.
We're getting married! Join us for a beachfront ceremony on the lake where we will exchange our vows through a fusion of our cultures and celebrate our life together. You will be seated on a deck, so you will not have to worry about sand in your shoes! Note: We will not be doing a traditional baraat (Indian groom processional) prior to the ceremony, so please feel free to take your seats when you arrive at the venue. Shuttles will be provided to and from the ceremony. Please plan to park at the resort and take the shuttle as parking is not available at the Beach Patio!
12:30 pm - 2:00 pm
Shuttles will take guests back from to the resort from the ceremony where you will head up to the Aerie Restaurant & Lounge for lunch! Be sure to stay for a 360 view of the Blue Angels Air Show that should be kicking off that afternoon.
5:30 pm - 11:00 pm
Attire: Evening formal or cocktail - wear an outfit that boosts your dopamine and makes you feel your best! Western attire - suits, dresses. Indian attire - gowns, lehengas, suits.
Details: Dance the night away with us at our cocktail hour and reception! Cocktail hour will start at 5:30 PM at the Michigan Ballroom. The reception with an evening of dinner and dancing will begin at 6:45 PM at the Plaza Tent, which is a short walk away from the Michigan Ballroom on the resort property.

Join us at the Michigan Ballroom to say farewell and have some breakfast on your way out!
