🌟 Getting to Woodend

Rideshares are available in the area, and you can schedule a Lyft or Uber in advance. Our wedding begins promptly at 5:30 p.m. and ends at 11:30 p.m. Woodend Sanctuary, our wedding venue, has 70 parking spaces available. Any cars parked at the venue must be moved before 9 a.m. on Monday. For those staying at or near the Conrad, a shuttle will transport guests to the venue, and back to the Conrad at the end of the night. The shuttle will depart Woodend and drive to the Conrad Hotel at various times after dinner, so no worries if you are not a night owl. *IMPORTANT: If you do drive to the venue, please use Google Maps or Waze; do not use Apple Maps, as it will direct you to the wrong entrance. The entrance gate is at 8940 Jones Mill Road, Chevy Chase, MD 20815. Have your ride drop you off at the grove (ceremony site). If you do drive, please park and proceed directly to the grove (ceremony site).

Getting Around DC

Trust us: you don't need to rent a car. Washington, DC has an incredible public transportation system, our favorite hotels are accessible by Metro, or an easy Uber or Lyft ride from DCA or IAD. Our wedding venue is a short, 25-minute (8.5 mile) ride from downtown, and there are ample Uber/Lyft drivers in the area. You'll find many sights and activities within walking (or Metro) distance of our hotel picks.

For your convenience, there is a courtesy room block at the Conrad Washington, DC, with rates starting at $319 plus tax per night. BOOK BY MAY 4, as these rates will not be available after that date. Should you decide to stay at Conrad, you will be charged a one-night deposit upon booking, and the remaining balance will be charged at departure.
