Matron of Honor
MaryKate Helms Carroll is not only Kim's Matron of Honor and cousin, but one of her longest and dearest friends causing trouble alongside her for the last 25 years. From matching snowman sweatshirts and bowl cuts to now standing alongside one another on their big days, there is not much the two have missed in each other's lives. MaryKate is a pilot in the Marine Corps and is currently stationed in Hawaii with her husband Sean. If you're looking to throw back some espresso martinis and have a killer time on the dance floor, find MK at the reception.
Maid of Honor
Meet Kim's Maid of Honor, Abigail Grace Scott! Both transplants to Orange County, the two met at a brunch through mutual friends at the infamous Mutt Lynch's on the Newport Beach Peninsula in 2017 and immediately became each other's in state family. The following years, they rode bikes together, played on numerous beach volleyball teams (when they decided to grace the group with their presence), and spent entirely too much time at Cruiser's Pizza Bar. Fast forward 7 years and 2000 miles, there has been no distance great enough to test their friendship.
Bridesmaid
Alison Seitz Alexander and Kim first met in Akron, Ohio during Panhellenic Sorority Recruitment in fall of 2011. At the time Kim was an active member of Delta Gamma and Alison ended up receiving a bid from DG just a few days from the time they met. That was just the beginning. They then became roommates at the ever so glamorous 324 Torrey house, Alison traveled across the country to not only visit Kim in California many times but also had a short Occupational Therapy rotation up the 405 in Hermosa Beach. Now just as Kim stood beside Alison on her wedding day to her husband, Mike, Alison will do the same for her.
Bridesmaid
Where to even begin with this one? Kim first met Sara Lynnae Szabo in fall of 2013 as Sara was pledging Delta Gamma; however, they became friends when Sara bonged a beer with her before Phi Delt Formal on the steps of Nick's house in Akron. There are numerous stories including incorrect Ubers, very expensive taxis, 4th of Julys spent sleeping on the beach in Huntington, and missed flights due to just having too much fun together. Most importantly, Sara has stood by Kim in so many phases of life (the good, the bad, and the ugly) and she'll continue to be by her side for so many more.
Bridesmaid
Teresa Schneider is Kim's oldest niece and the memories to share are endless. Kim recalls holding her in her arms the day she was born in February of 2007 and thinking how amazing it was going to be to watch her grow up. Although Kim was 14 when Reese was born, she likes to think that the two of them grew up together and the bond that they share is so special. Reese is now 17 years old and a senior at Girard High School, Kim couldn't be more proud of the young lady she has become and of all the hearts she's going to break in the coming years.
Bridesmaid
Shannon and Kim first met in college through the Greek system, they were in different sororities but something other than Greek life would soon bond them together for life. Not long after Kim met Shannon, Nick met her and a few years later she became apart of the Caruso family. Kim and Shannon share many special memories including Shannon's bachelorette party in Put-N-Bay and performing their own rendition of the 12 Days of Christmas for the family in 2020, but Kim's favorite memories with her now include Nick and Shannon's little girl, Sophia.
Bridesmaid
Angela and Kim first met in 2009 when Kim's older brother, Anthony, introduced her to the family as his girlfriend. In 2010, Kim got the honor of being asked to be a bridesmaid for the first time and stand by Angela as she married Anthony. In the years that followed, Kim became Auntie to Olivia, Mia, and Rocco and the time spent with the family is even more special with these additions. When Kim and Ange get together, you can usually find them with a glass of Prosecco laughing and listening to country music. In 2008 at Nick's wedding, Angela performed a classic move on the dance floor and we're hoping to see it re-created at the Caruso-Malone Wedding!
Bridesmaid
Dom's sister and and former field hockey badass, Morgan and Kim quickly bonded over a passion for giving Dom a hard time. Morgan's no nonsense and strong personality can be perceived as intimidating, but Morgan would do anything for her friends and family and it's one of her most admirable qualities. If you ever need someone to threaten a furniture company who tried to steal your money, she is absolutely 100% your girl. Most weekends, Morgan can be found in the sand in Newport Beach playing flag football and making grown men cry.
Bridesmaid
Oh the times Lauren and Kim have had. From stealing/borrowing Yeti coolers from bad dates and weekly trips to the Crusty Armadillo to now coffee dates and cuddles with Lauren's son Gio, Lauren and Kim have been by each other's side for everything. Kim was lucky enough to be asked to stand by Lauren on her big day in 2021 and loved it so much she borrowed the black satin floor length bridesmaid dress concept and a few special songs. You could say the two have similar taste. The wedding's after party will surely include Lauren eating chicken nuggets and requesting "All I Want for Christmas Is You" from the DJ.
Jr Bridesmaid
This is Olivia's first time as a bridesmaid and she couldn't be more excited to be apart of this group and stand alongside her Aunt Kimmy. Olivia is a student and cheerleader at St Gabriel's school and is a lover of all things pretty and glamorous. She spends her downtime practicing her makeup routine and hanging out with her siblings. She will without a doubt be dressed to impress on the day of the wedding!
Jr Bridesmaid
Mama Mia, Kimmy's niece, is a student and volleyball player at St Gabriel's School in Ohio and this is her first time as a bridesmaid. When she's not playing volleyball or cheering on her siblings in their respective sports, she loves Harry Potter movies and Lego sets. Mia is always down to chill and watch movies and hang out with friends but also will be ready to tear it up on the reception dance floor.
Jr Groomsman
Rocco is his Auntie Kim's only nephew and was the fastest of all of kids to accept Dom with welcome arms. When the two met, Rocco and Dom hit it off instantly- mostly because Uncle Dom came bearing multiple new Lego sets. Rocco is a football and soccer player at St Gabriel's in Ohio and he can't wait for Dom to officially be apart of the family.
Flower Girl
A little love bug full of smiles and sass, Sophia is Kim's youngest niece. Sophia is 2 years old and has been most excited to see the Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago. She's been practicing her perfect walk down the aisle and is ready for her first performance as flower girl!
Ring Bearer
Son of Dom's best man, Jason and his lovely wife Missy, Tyler T is the happiest little guy. Stealing hearts with his sweet smile and giggles, the little guy is suiting up for his big job as ring bearer.
Best Man
Dom’s younger brother and co-best man, the two have been through it all together and more importantly endured the sibling rivalries and tribulations over the years, to come out the other side as friends. Nowadays, they’ve been known to enjoy a nice bowl of ramen or quoting anything involving Entourage or Family Guy. No better recent experience was their trip to Hawaii together for Jake’s 21s birthday, let’s just say mistakes were made and we’re shooting for a better showing come October.
Best Man
Dom’s college roommate and co-best man, there are too many incriminating adventures they’ve shared together to call out here, some of which we’re confident will be unveiled at one point or another during the Wedding. Be sure to say hello to his son Tyler, our ring-bearer!
Groomsman
Coming to us from Portland, OR, you can typically find this former soccer star on the golf course or cheering on the Gunners on Sunday mornings at godforsaken hours. As Kim has formally called him “The Mayor of Weddings”-past, be sure to ask him about his patio-crashing experience.
Groomsman
As lowly free agents in a whole new world called Beach City Sports (intramural Volleyball for those unfamiliar), Mike and Dom’s second-place finish was overshadowed by Cruiser’s outings and Beer Die Tournaments that quickly solidified their friendship, and accordingly diminished years on their livers.
Groomsman
Dom’s college teammate, future lawyer, and renowned world traveler, his return to Chicago will be mere minutes away from Bobb Hall where the two first met in 2012. Since then, Matt has enjoyed everything from the local Columbian lifestyle to guiding tours for less-than-qualified snowmobile guests in the mountains, truly rounding out his international man of mystery status.
Groomsman
Dom met Kim’s brother Nick in the wholesome way one should meet all future brother-in-laws, in a hotel bar in Las Vegas. Now, it’s not what you may think, the family was there to support Kim’s Dad at his Mining show, but what also came as a shock was when Nick had to leave early when he found out his wife Shannon was pregnant with their daughter. Dom and Nick have gotten closer ever since, and he truly can’t wait to soon hold the official title of “uncle Dom” to our beautiful flower girl, Sophia!
Groomsman
Kim’s older brother spared no time finding out Dom’s true intentions at the onset of their relationship, understandably so as good brothers do, most aren’t former Army Sargents looking after their only sister. Fortunately for Dom, Anthony’s inclusive personality and shared love of all things LEGO made his life easier. Combine that with a few hours of distracting their four kids Reese, Olivia, Mia, and Rocco, he may be starting to think there’s a use in keeping this guy around after all.
Groomsman
Former Minnesotan turned unrecognizably Californian, Michael and Dom met in the early Newport Beach days and have enjoyed the peninsula’s finest establishments ever since. Ask him anything about USC or the Jets if you want to enjoy a spirited conversation with this charming fellow.
Groomsman
Dom’s friend since college, Matt has since gotten to know Kim after our move back to Chicago and has spent many-a-weekend hitting sports games or live music shows across the city with us. A Hoosier turned Boilermaker it’s easy to assume he’s a complex character, but one thing this Northwest IN native is not confused about is where to go for Chicago’s best, whatever vibe you might fancy.
