If you want the best ice cream, you need to visit Sherman's. This is your warning, do not, we repeat, DO NOT order anything larger than a single. Their portion sizes are generous and it is one thousand percent worth the wait. You can't go wrong with Sherman Tracks, Chocomania, or Birthday Cake.
South Haven has some of the most beautiful beaches. There is a north side and a south side beach. The pier is on the south side which is also where the pier is and is more family friendly. Even if you don't stay, it's worth the drive.
Clementines is a staple food destination in South Haven. If you want to go, make sure you go early. Some of their must haves is their french onion soup, onion rings, and curly fries but honestly, you can't go wrong with anything you order.
If you're looking for a breakfast or lunch destination, then Phoenix Street Cafe is where you need to go. They have the best breakfast in town and after, you can walk downtown South Haven.
Every Saturday, South Haven has a farmers market in their downtown pavilion. You can get some of the best Michigan grown fruits and vegetables. After, you can walk the shops downtown.
South Haven is the blueberry capital of the world and has the best blueberries. DeGrandchamps has a u-pick farm or you can buy their 5, 10, or 20lb box of blueberries at their store. Personal advice, get the bigger box, you won't regret it (and you can always freeze what you don't use).
If you're looking for somewhere cool to relax at for a while, the Michigan Theater is where you need to be. It's a smaller theater experience but the prices are great!
