Things To Do

Vermont is a beautiful state with tons to offer for indoor and outdoor activities alike. With Stowe and Burlington only a short drive away and Smuggler's Notch on the doorstep, we hope our guests have the time to relax and enjoy the weekend in the way that most excites them.

Stowe

Stowe, VT 05672

There are countless little shops and endless charm to this New England gem of a town. We highly recommend walking through and exploring it for yourself. Just a half hour away from Sterling Ridge Resort, if you're looking for a morning coffee, an afternoon ice cream, or anything above and between, you can't go wrong by heading toward Stowe.

The Alchemist Brewery

100 Cottage Club Road, Stowe, VT 05672

Some of the best beer in New England

Idletyme Brewing Company

1859 Mountain Road, Stowe, VT 05672

We first went here for Mike's cousin Maria's welcome party during her wedding and returned for some of our engagement photos. This brewery is the perfect outdoor patio for a bite and a beer.

von Trapp Brewery & Bierhall

1333 Luce Hill Road, Stowe, VT 05672

The hills are alive! If you like some culture with your beer, the Sound of Music's von Trapp Brewery is a great spot just outside Stowe for a quick visit.

Brewster River Gorge

Canyon Road, Cambridge, VT 05464

Experience this 2.7-mile out-and-back trail near Jeffersonville, Vermont. Generally considered an easy route, it takes an average of 1 h 1 min to complete. This is a popular trail for hiking, but you can still enjoy some solitude during quieter times of day. The best times to visit this trail are May through October.
