The Wedding Website of Isabelle Heye and Stephen Diebold

Rob Diebold

Best Man

Rob is my wonderful older brother. He lives in La Grange, IL, in a Victorian home he's been busily renovating for his wife, Melissa, and their two children, Roman and Cora. He has been a great example for me through the years, and taught me a lot of my tricks. How to build a wall, how to lay tile, the power of a good costume, and how to take over the dance floor with corny dance moves. You can ask him if those really were virgin margaritas.

Claudia Heye Mitchell

Maid of Honor

Isabelle's beloved older sister. While growing up Claudia broke the standoff-ish older sibling stereotype and instead was wonderfully inclusive and always down to hang out. She has two adorable children, Kenny and Piper, and lives in the Boston area with her husband Peter. Claudia is a great hostess and will always make sure your glass and plate are full. You can ask her where my missing book is.

Charlie Franklin

Groomsman

I met Charlie back in high school, when I swore off football and instead, fumbled my way through music and theater. Charlie had all the lead roles, and I was typically "sailor #3". But that didn't stop him from being the kind and generous guy he is and helping me out along the way. When Charlie was transferred from Chicago to San Francisco in 2012, I offered to quit my job and join his adventure across the country. You can ask him about our most San Francisco night ever.

Julia Chaves

Bridesmaid

Julia is a bad ass software engineer and like the start of all great friendships, we met in physics class. Although we met at Wash U in St. Louis, Julia is from the bay area, where she introduced me to her wonderful family, and I snagged invites to their amazing family cabin in Pinecrest (where you have to sleep outside...). You can ask her to show you her signature dance move, the Floppy-Do.

Teddy Lu

Groomsman

Teddy also has a degree in Industrial Design from UIUC. He was one of the most gifted artists in our class. I always came to him for advice on projects, and figuring out what I would do with my life/career after school. Whether we were at college, living/working in Chicago, or traveling through Europe together, he was always the charismatic center of a party, and has lead me into some fun and adventurous nights. You can ask him about our day dodging bulls.

Kira Santucci

Bridesmaid

Kira and I met rushing for sororities sophomore year, and both ended up in Pi Beta Phi. I fell in love with her down to earth vibe and late night cooking skills. We spent so much time crushing the dance floor we made a slogan out of it. Kira lives in New York, but she is always down for California adventures. You can ask Kira about the recipe for washy-washy.

Nick Pandzik

Groomsman

Nick lives in our basement, and desires to keep doing so for as long as we let him. I met Nick in 2015, right when I bought my house in SF. He responded to my Craigslist 1-month room rental of my 2nd bedroom upstairs, while I worked on building a studio apartment downstairs. Out of nowhere, we became great friends. He helped me build the studio and promptly moved into it when we finished. Now it is Isabelle, Nick and I in the house, and we are an inseparable trio. Ask him about any game ever, as he’s probably played it (and he even makes them for a living).

Sam Ellis

Bridesmaid

Sam and I met in kindergarten and hit it off. In high school, we took all the same AP classes, we played water polo together, and I crashed many of her family vacations. We stayed close in the 10+ years after high school where we lived in different cities, until Sam finally returned to me and moved back to the Bay Area. You can ask her about the time we couldn't find our tent when camping in Big Bend.

Michael Westermann

Groomsman

I met Michael in 2013. He was one of the first great friends I met here in San Francisco. Michael is always down for an adventure, and because of this, Isabelle and I have been out on many with him. He always keeps busy mountain biking, backpacking, racing cars or traveling. Michael always has a spark of energy and a fascination for learning new things. He also shares a similar, exquisite taste in music as myself. Which is why you can often find us out at concerts. You can ask him about frolicking through fields of poison oak in Big Sur.

Kristin Yancy

Bridesmaid

Fate placed us on the same freshman floor at Wash U, and we chose to live together for the rest of college. Kristin was known for being in every extracurricular activity under the sun and still managing to be full of energy. Her greetings after time apart are so enthusiastic I learned to brace myself to prevent being toppled over by her body being hurled through the air. You can ask her how the spotlights feel performing on Broadway.
