We WILL be providing a shuttle for ALL wedding guests to the wedding and from the reception. We HIGHLY ENCOURAGE all guests to use UBER or LYFT from their respective hotel to our hotel (Lafayette Hotel Park & Spa) in order to catch the shuttle buses. Parking at the Lafayette Park Hotel is extremely limited. The route to Moraga isn't an easy drive, isn't well-lit, has many wildlife, and can be difficult to navigate. We want everyone to be SAFE on our wedding day. If you will be partaking in alcohol at the reception, please be smart. ALSO PLEASE NOTE: Shuttle service (as of 7/21/18) FIRST SHUTTLE leaves at 2:15pm, LAST SHUTTLE before the wedding leaves at 3:15pm from Lafayette Park Hotel & Spa - only 55 passengers can load per bus. Times may change, please check for updates.
Please click on the "Travel" link for ideas on hotels and car rentals. For WEDDING ONLY (Moraga): You can book a hotel in the following cities: Lafayette, Walnut Creek, Pleasant Hill, Alamo, Danville, or Orinda will work. Be prepared to drive 15-30 minutes. For a mini vacay weekend, it all depends on what you'd like to do in the Bay Area. Please click on the "Things to Do' link and base your city of stay SAT, SUN, MON on your activities: San Fransisco, Sacramento, Napa, Santa Cruz, Livermore, Monterey, etc. (DON'T FORGET: Wednesday Oct 24th is meet and greet in our charming city of Campbell.) Just FYI - Dee and I will be staying at the Lafayette Park Hotel & Spa Thursday and Friday. Our suite will serve as a dressing room on the wedding day for us (and our bridal party if needed).
San Jose International Airport (SJC) is ten minutes from where we live (Campbell). We will stay in Campbell to have the "Meet & Greet" (drinks and appetizers) Wednesday night and we hope you'll join us! But, we will be driving about an hour and a half northeast for the wedding rehearsal on Thursday around noon, where we will stay for two nights. If you choose to bypass the Wednesday night "Meet & Greet" feel free to choose San Francisco (SFO) or Oakland (OAK), or Sacramento (SMF). Drive times can vary based on city and time of day traffic, usually 1.5-2 hours. Guests leaving from San Jose Friday should plan to leave no later than 12:30-1pm due to weekend commute congestion.
One word: Terrible. If you're trying to drive ANYWHERE during commute hours 6am-9am, 3pm-7pm, BE PREPARED. Use WAYZ or GOOGLE MAPS. ALWAYS. An hour can be easily added to your drive, but commuter lanes sometimes help. Avoid "Fast Track" lanes unless you get a Fast Track box in advance. Car rentals can be booked online or at the airports, carpooling encouraged. We’re sorry in advance for Bay Area traffic. It’s as bad as it gets. Drive times can vary based on city and time of day traffic, usually 1.5-2 hours. Guests leaving from San Jose on Friday, Oct 26th, (the day of the wedding) should plan to leave no later than 12:30-1pm due to weekend commute congestion.
