Laura and Devon met on the first tee of Roaring Gap. It was "love at first swing" Devon frequently says! Later that night at a group dinner, Laura shared with Devon how her grandmother would always tell her growing up that "if he's interested he will call" but boys don't pick up the phone to call anymore! Less than three days later, Laura received a call from Devon who quickly said "You know how your grandmother told you if they are interested they will call... well I'm calling and I'd like to take you out in Charlotte next weekend." A fabulous first date, many more rounds of golf, and plenty of happy memories ... the rest is history! Guess Honey was right, if he's interested he most definitely will call.

Devon and Laura spent the last two years together in Charlotte having so many fun adventures and forming wonderful friendships. They love to travel and explore new places together as a couple. Their travels brought them to Chicago, Charleston, Palm Beach, Breckenridge, New York City, and much more! Devon and Laura are starting a new chapter moving to Charleston for Laura's role at Amazon. They are excited to start a new adventure together in a place they have loved visiting that they'll now call home. Future memories are sure to be made of fabulous dinners, walks on the beach, and new friendships!

Over Labor Day Weekend ~ with family and friends help Devon was able to pop the question in the most wonderful way. In the place Laura loves, Roaring Gap Club, Devon took her out on the lake, in the boat balanced on one knee, and asked her to spend the rest of her life with him. Laura immediately said "Yes, yes, yes!" Quickly met with other boats filled with their closest friends from near and far they popped a bottle to celebrate the day! Returning back to the Fazekas home, Laura and Devon were met with cheers and celebration from parents and friends who watched their love grow. It is such a special memory to both Laura and Devon. They are excited to continue their love story with you, their closest friends and family, on their wedding day!
