Is there parking on the property?

Answer

No, unfortunately we cannot accommodate any vehicles on the property. We will be using the Captain Charles Wilkes Elementary School parking lot as our "park and ride". It is about a 12 minute walk to the property but with very little shoulder and no sidewalk, so we recommend using the shuttle* (2 min. bus ride) which will be picking guests up from the ferry, swinging by Wilkes and dropping off at the venue at various times throughout the evening. The ferry and shuttle service schedule is below: Ferries leaving Seattle: 2:10 pm and 3:05 pm. For walk on passengers, the shuttle will be waiting for you on the Bainbridge side! For drivers, please park at Captain Charles Wilkes Elementary and our shuttle will pick you up! Ferries leaving Bainbridge: 7:15, 8:10, 8:55, 9:45. To accommodate ferry times, the shuttle will be leaving the wedding venue at 6:30, 7:30, 8:20 and 9:00 *Please note, if you are traveling with infants or small children, the school bus does not have seat belts.

what should we wear?

Answer

The event will be entirely outside, so please wear layers! There is no dress code here... we recommend slightly nicer than casual but welcome you however you are! We do recommend you don't wear heels unless they are wide as the property is pastured or graveled. Be comfortable!

can we bring gifts?

Answer

We have started a registry on this website which is primarily a "honeymoon fund". If you are feeling moved to gift us with something, we would love your help funding our honeymoon to the British Isles next year. No pressure though, your presence is our present!

can we tour the house?

Answer

Unfortunately the house will be off limits during the event except our family/houseguests and catering. There will be very nice portable bathrooms available on the property.
