Devin: I was staying with a friend in Seattle's International District and soon found a very good reason to haunt the local coffee shop, Zeitgeist. There was an extremely good looking barista with the best head of curly hair I'd ever seen...and he happened to make tiny Americano's just the way I liked 'em! So of course, I started hanging out there all the time...making eyes and getting very caffeinated, until we were eventually introduced and then set up to meet by his coworkers. We ended up at the same wine bar...not by accident...talked for hours and exchanged numbers. The first text he sent me was a youtube link to Fleetwood Mac's "You Make Lovin' Fun" and that was that. We went on our first date the next night! Riley: I immediately noticed Devin the first time she walked into the cafe. I tried to come up with any excuse to start a conversation and very smoothly said something along the lines of "sorry about the wait" as I handed over the drink she ordered. She responded with a wide smile and walked outside to sit in the sun and drink her coffee. After noticing one of my coworkers talking with her, I began to ask around and found out that she worked at a downtown restaurant, Le Pichet. Now that the secret was out, I came up with any excuse to sit at her bar and order the dish that took the longest to prepare. I guess I didn't creep her out too much because a few days later we exchanged numbers after talking about Fleetwood Mac over a few glasses of wine at a local wine bar. During our second date she ordered a 'Jameson rocks' while watching a rock and roll show at the Crocodile and it didn't take much more for me to know that I was totally smitten!
