Chesapeake City
Chesapeake City is a cute little town about ten minutes south of our venue. We love visiting the waterfront restaurants and shops along Bohemia Ave. Highly recommend grabbing a bite to eat and a cold drink at Chesapeake Inn Restaurant & Marina to watch all the boats cruise the canal!
University of Delaware
Less than 1 mile away from the hotel is the University of Delaware. Walk down Main Street to explore several delicious breakfast, lunch, or dinner options. Grab a drink at a local coffee shop or brewery and don't forget to grab dessert at Insomnia cookies or Duck Donuts (Britt's fav)!
Chateau Bu-De, LLC Bohemia Manor Farm
Enjoy a bottle of wine at their indoor tasting room or outside on the patio while enjoying the stunning views of the Bohemia River & Vineyard. There are 15 wineries are within 40 minutes of Chesapeake City, all part of the Chesapeake Wine Trail!
Ben Cardin C&D Canal Trail
Bike or walk the Ben Cardin Recreational Trail, which courses along the banks of the Canal eastward, where it crosses into Delaware and extends 15.5 more miles all the way to the Delaware River. Kayak in scenic Back Creek and observe regular inhabitants of the area.
