Cheers to our big day!

Derek and I grew up in the same small town, attended the same schools, and regularly went to the same bonfires. We left our hometown and went our separate ways during college, but returned after graduating to start the next chapter in our life. Little did we know that next chapter would include each other. After years of not crossing paths, I ran into Derek at the local watering hole, Shacks. *Cue Frankie Ballard song* Oh, it all started with an ice cold beer! You would think Derek's dance moves and singing would scare me away, but crazy enough they somehow won me over and the rest is history. We have been inseparable ever since that night and couldn't be happier!

For the past four years, we have spent pretty much every weekend together visiting our favorite local farmer's market, Local Homestead. In the fall Local Homestead hosts a fundraiser where a percentage of every admission to their corn maze is donated to a local organization. We always visit the corn maze during the "Doggie Days" weekend where you can bring your dog (Jake loves it!). In the fall of 2019, we made our annual plan to take Jake to the maze and then stop by our favorite nearby brewery. When we exited the maze there was a fall arrangement for guests to take pictures in front of, so Derek led me over to snap a pic. I should have been suspicious then because Derek is not one to suggest a photo opp. As we were getting ready to pose for a picture, Derek got down on one knee and asked me to marry him! We are so excited to celebrate our big day with you!
