Ashley and Demetrius met through mutual friends. One summer in 2019 Ashley and her friends decided to travel to Dallas. A few weeks prior Ashley mentioned her summer plans to Demetrius and he asked her out on a date. Jokingly Ashley reminded him that he doesn’t live in Dallas which he replied ,”That’s why planes were invented”. The date was a success. Fall 2019, Life events led Demetrius to move back to Dallas. He jokingly mentioned to Ashley about road-tripping from Seattle with his things. She agreed to join him and flew to Seattle to help him move. They travelled from Seattle to Texas. Along the way they continued to create amazing memories. He eventually moved to Mississippi to be closer to her. They agreed Mississippi wasn’t an ideal home and moved to Dallas Tx. April 2021 , the couple travelled to Hawaii and Demetrius proposed.
