Would you recommend getting Euros in the US? Where would you recommend that we get them (for the best rate)?

Answer

You can use your credit card too.Most businesses should accept credit cards. However, you will need some cash. The rates may be a bit higher than an ATM in Greece. There are ATM machines at the airport. Ethniki trapeza is a good one. Make sure you check with your bank here that you will be able to use your debit card in Greece.

What is the best way to reserve a taxi in advance for a specific date/time? Is there a certain company you recommend to use while traveling throughout the area?

Answer

When we arrived in Greece this summer, we attempted to use Booking.com to pick us up from the airport. They never showed up! After we reached out to them, they said they canceled our appointment because our flight was delayed. We ended up using an Uber in Athens and that was quick and easy! Just download your app before you leave the US. We also highly recommend a company we used in Athens to get us from Athens to Tolo. Will it be easy to find transportation (taxis, Ubers, etc.) around Tolo and Nafplio to get to and from wedding events, especially at early hours of the morning (after the reception is over)?

Answer

Nafplio has many taxis in the center that you can use anytime as well. Also, there is a local bus from Tolo to Nafplio that runs every hour or two hours during mornings and evenings. Do not worry about the wedding day. We will make sure some local taxis will be there that you can use throughout the night. We are also working on reserving a bus that will transfer our guests from Tolo to the Church and then from the Church to the reception. (See Transportation section for more details!)
