We’re getting married!!

I was freshly in a new relationship - but was introduced to Laney through some mutual friends on 2/22/20 during Mardi Gras celebrations in downtown St. Louis. Pink lipstick, a jean jacket, and an energy and presence felt immediately, I was instantly drawn and attracted to her 😍 little did I know that the next 1.5 years of seeing each other as friends was just building the foundation of this future we have created together. Thank you Nick & Cam ❤️ although I’m convinced we would have met one way or another!

I woke up like it was going to be any other day.. little did I know. I went out to lunch with a friend and when we got back to the apartment I asked James to come down and say hi. He was so fidgety when he came downstairs, but I just assumed he had an extra (or 3 extra) cups of coffee that day. We say goodbye and head upstairs. In the elevator I start talking about how I can’t wait to nap - as we were leaving for LA early the next morning. James doesn’t hear me as he’s too busy pacing the elevator. We stop at our floor and J basically takes off running down the hallway. We get to our apartment and J tells me he needs to blindfold me. I start insisting he tells me why I need to put that on- still obviously completely clueless. I finally give in and he leads me inside (with very sweaty hands 😉). As we’re walking he starts telling me why he loves me (and this is about the time I start to black out!!) and takes me into our bedroom where our song is playing. He takes my blindfold off and is on one knee. I was shocked.. and completely speechless. The room was beautiful- candles and flowers everywhere. It was perfect. He asks me to spend the rest of my life with him and I somehow manage to stutter YES!! And here we are now- 10 months later 😍
